    • In this course, you will learn how to get your extension online using the RingPlan desktop app for mac. 

      You will learn how to:
      1) download the app.

      2) get signed into your extension

      3) configure your outbound caller id

      4) setup audio options such as head set and ringer

      5) make a test call and verify 911 is working

       

      Prereqs:

      Have a user setup (HERE)

      Have an extension setup (HERE)

       

  • Download the app and get signed in

    • What your going to do:

      1) navigate to the download page (https://ringplan.com/downloads)

      2) download the correct version for your platform

      3) follow the wizard to install it and activate all the permissions the app needs to work

      4) log in with your RingPlan user and select your extension

      5) Set your default caller ID and caller ID name, then hit save

       

  • Check audio and UI settings and test call to 933

    • What your going to do:

      1) In the RingPlan Desktop app navigate to more -> settings

      2) verify the audio settings are correct

      3) verify the user interface (UI) settings are correct

      4) verify you have a green circle to indicate your online

      5) make an outbound test call to 933 and make sure you can hear the message and that it reads back the correct 911 location to you.
